Rails Is Done

The submissions is flagged of course. Who would want to discuss a fork of the most famous web framework when we can discuss a Muse 30B model that won't do anything useful on a regular PC?

There's no real substance behind the fork other than "I don't like DHH".

The author says "Rails is done" meaning, feature complete. So he wants to fork it and have you use that fork instead. Why? I don't know. If it's truly "done", why does it matter what the repository name is? The underlying code will still be the same.

I didn't know you could feel so negative about the code YOU write, while happily adopting code written by the person you vehemently disagree with.

In general, I don't understand the hard right strategy with their two pronged attack on foreigners and the attack on local jobs via AI.

The real fascists were at least careful to create jobs. What are DHH and Musk going to do with the surplus software engineers? Will they be inconvenienced by laid off engineers sleeping in the park?
