Tailor the degree to the desired job. Wanna be a (us) chemist or pharmacologist? Get a PhD. Want to be a doctor, get an MD. Want to be a hacker, hack as much as possible - Uni might not help here. Some of it is a credential. Some of it demonstrates completion. But mostly, it’s a case of the training required to get the job.
