Our tech overlords are planning for conscious AI to conquer the cosmos

They’ve realized they only have 20-30 years left to live and are becoming increasingly desperate for a way to hack death.

Quite huge leap from predicting next tokens, this feels they're trying saying most crazy things for attention to remind they're AI and still a thing.

It will never happen. All we can do is simulate consciousness. Only God, Mother Nature, universe, whatever your flavor of the “higher power” is, can create consciousness.

We don’t even have the technical capability to create a digital atomic-scale model-copy of a cell, strictly speaking we don’t even know what consciousness actually is. This kind of statement usually comes from those who simply don’t understand what they’re talking about.

I’m going to start a charity that provides every billionaire with a 24/7 human assistant that follows them around and repeats the words memento mori out loud once a minute.
