Side project: scraping 4 EU GPU retailers (Alternate, Coolblue, LDLC, Azerty) every 6 hours since March 9.

Stack: FastAPI + SQLite on Hetzner, Next.js on Vercel SKUs tracked: 38 Price points: ~3,000

Results:

RTX 5090 (ASUS TUF OC) Alternate: €3,749 → €4,089 (+€340, +9.1%) since Mar 13 In-stock range: €3,899–4,089 vs €1,999 MSRP Demand appears inelastic — likely LLM/AI workloads, not gaming

RTX 5070 / 5070 Ti Down 5–7% across most stores over 14 days Inventory is sitting. Waiting is being rewarded.

Store arbitrage (same SKU, same day, in-stock only): ASUS TUF 5080: €1,409 (Alternate) vs €1,650 (Coolblue) — €241 gap MSI Gaming Trio W 5080: €1,459 (Alternate) vs €1,717 (Coolblue) — €258 gap

Cheapest store by SKU count (38 total): Alternate: 18 Azerty: 15 Coolblue: 2 LDLC: 2

LDLC is 50€+ above cheapest alternative on 32/38 SKUs.
