What is NATS? – An interactive scrollable explainer

I kept struggling to explain NATS to people. The official docs are thorough but assume you already know why you'd want it.

So I built a scrollable explainer that starts from "you already know HTTP servers" and builds up to pub/sub, JetStream, KV/object stores, clustering, and security — one concept at a time.

So my goal was... by the end, NATS's design choices feel in a way, inevitable rather than arbitrary.

Happy to answer questions, and genuinely curious where the explanations fall flat.
