Burn out has always been a spoken about in tech even before AI.

> As one engineer told them, “You had thought that maybe, oh, because you could be more productive with AI, then you save some time, you can work less. But then really, you don’t work less. You just work the same amount or even more.”

Well of course that's the case. I'd argue that its your own personal boundaries that prevent you from working 'even more', whereas you should be able to be more productive over the same working hours.

Most white collar jobs don't have a set checklist each day that once you complete it you get to go home, so being more productive even without AI hasn't ever allowed you to go home earlier
