An obvious worry with this is that it's one step closer to not paying models at all, and using entirely synthetic images that aren't based on any real person.

But an interesting angle the article points out is that even their current plan, licensing a real model's likeness, can take away jobs for photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, lighting technicians, and the like.
